Poor Booking system and atrocious unhelp rude agents who demonstrate zero people skills and appalling customer service.
I tried to book online. Problem was it kept timing me out after it gave me a reference and I couldn't pay as it said booking ref not found. I tried this 4 times and it did the same thing. To add insult to injury every time I went back in,the price had increased. I rang Air France, explained the situation, gave them the reference number the website had given me. They fobbed me off as if it was my error with oh someone must have beaten you to that price then and gave me a new price which was £500 more than my original quote. I suspect the agent had not put the filter on to direct flights only show, as he told me there was one stop and the airline was Lufhansa. When my daughter logged online whilst I was on the call with the agent,it gave her my original price for my two flights to and from Paris. She then had the same problem, it kicked her out as she was trying to pay on her card and when she went back in, it upped the price again. The agent couldn't explain why. I asked to speak to a manager and he hung up on me.

I rang back immediately and the second agent, also a male who sounded just like the first agent who had hung up on me,but gave a different name. I had to explain all over again what had happened, he made me go through the whole thing again and guess what, the price he gave me was a lot higher than my quotes I had got off the system . My daughter went to the dates and times onlinee and the flights were a lot cheaper. He told me I wasn't quick enough making the booking and someone else must have taken my booking. I asked to speak to a manager, he said no point. I asked how do i register a complaint, he said it won't make any difference to the price. I said I still wanted to make the complaint and he said someone would call back but to date iv`e had no response. I seriously doubt that he registered the complaint anyway.

I was so distressed and frustrated he said there was nothing else he could do and that was the price did I want it or not. I said I would wait for the call back from the complaints team first. He said okay but all the flights would be gone by then.

In desperation I tried two more times and instead of doing a return booking I did them as two seperate bookings. This by a miracle worked and finally I got the tickets not the same price as my 1st quote but not far off. Definitely not the £500 pounds extra the agent quoted me.
Why is the booking system so unreliable. I suspect other people have had the very same issue.

To avoid
Lost baggage: found after one week for the first and two weeks for the second.
The passenger area is just "cleared", not cleaned: dirty seats. As for the space for the passenger, impossible to cross your legs.
"Taking elegance to new heights": really?

REFUSED ON FLIGHT
VS6714 / VS6762
Booked a flight to LAX through Virgin. Unfortunately they put us on a flight with Air France. My fiancé's ESTA wasn't showing up on their system so they wouldn't let us on the flight, as they could get a fine. A fine for what? We were showing you the approved ESTA in person but because your system couldnt find it you wouldn't let us on the flight? Luckily we did book through Virgin, as we went to their customer services and they got us on their own flight direct to LAX at no extra cost. They managed to find the ESTA on their system with no problems. LAX was a stop on our way to Hawaii and we had a connecting flight that we also managed to catch thanks to Virgin. We were going to Hawaii to get married and the thought that we were going to have to cancel it because of a system error made me absolutely distraught. Especially after having it cancelled 2 times previously due to covid. I have never flown with Air France before and will never attempt to in the future. They also said I had to check in my wedding dress to be put in cargo despite it being within size and weight requirements for carry on. Despite us being the first in the queue to check in 3.5 hours before our flight at 6.20am. You took so long to figure out what to do and told us to keep waiting around incase the ESTA showed up that you ended up not having the space in your plane for my wedding dress. That's not my fault. And the way we were treated was disgusting. No sympathy. No explanation. And when we were finally told the cut off had passed, we were told to leave like we were no longer you problem. I consider ourselves quite lucky that we didn't get on that flight, as I imagine you would have lost our luggage too which would have been especially awful if you had my wedding dress and my Fiancé's suit. Instead Virgin were understanding, sympathetic and even upgraded our seats.

Good web site

Avoid, scam company
My flight was cancelled one day before flying. 7th february. Was promised refund within 40 days, nothing. Given further dates many times, still no refund. 4 months, 15 calls later, promises and lies, still no refund.
I urge you to choose another airline, if anything goes wrong then forget your refund.
I will be campaigning tirelessly on social media warning others of my awful time with air france.
Avoid.

10 Weeks later still no refund!
I have been waiting 10 weeks now for a refund (voucher). I have written to them several times to chase this up. When I wrote at 7 weeks, I was told they had bulk requests they are dealing with! It is now 10 weeks, with no refund from them.

Horrific customer service. Avoid!

What More Could You Want?
Found my flights on the dates and at the times I wanted, booked the seats, luggage and preferences all in the same place.
Paid for them on their secure page.
No other 'cheap flight web site' was cheaper.
Excellent service and easy website to use.

Seamless online booking except!
Seamless online booking until it came to payment. Then I was not permitted to procede. I tried lots of ways but it would not permit me to enter the 12 figure card number.
I finally decided to start from scratch and this attempt was successful.
